Iron Mountain Metal Craft strives to preserve and pass on the knowledge, art, and skills of working metal including blacksmithing & blade-smithing. We share this information and our passion for metal-smithing with the public and maintain this website to further our goal of sharing our knowledge with others. Education is one of our primary goals. We sponsor a variety of skill and knowledge-building workshops including beginning blacksmith classes, project based blacksmithing classes. We are a family oriented organization and all are welcome.
Iron Mountain Metal Craft is run by Forged in Fire Fan Favorite, Robby Bowman. Robby is also known as the 'Smokey Mountain Cowboy' and for his signature phrase, 'Wooooo!'. He brings charisma and a life-time worth of skill to the shop. He's a great instructor wether you are forging a Nail Knife or working through a Dream Knife with him.

Things to do in Great Smoky Mountains National Park
First and foremost: the outdoors are calling. Abundant rainfall and many different elevation levels make for a fascinating display of flora and fauna in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You’ll have your pick of trails to hike, rivers and lakes to fish, float, or kayak, and roadside overlooks for easy mountain vistas.
From April through November you can drive about an hour from your vacation rental to Clingmans Dome for a unique way to see these breathtaking views. A very steep, spiraled walkway rises from the trees to meet an observation tower for 360-degree panoramas. Or you can drive the 11-mile loop at Cades Cove, passing lush meadows and historic, rustic buildings that are just perfect for photographing.
The trailhead to Laurel Falls is about 20 minutes from our cabins and a popular spot for families to hike. At two-and-a-half miles out and back, it’s not too strenuous and offers beautiful scenery and cascading waterfalls. There are near-endless ways to get outside and explore, so don’t miss out. And if you book a cabin in Pigeon Forge with a hot tub, you can soak your tired legs after an exciting day outside.
